To use the thread specific features in Netscape Messenger while still using Eudora to filter mail, put aliases of your Eudora mailboxes into the Netscape mail folder.

If you hold down Command + Option while clicking on a link, Netscape sends the URL to the appropriate helper application specified in Internet Config (or the Mac OS 8.5.x and above Internet control panel) -- even if it would not do so normally.
To quickly get to the Message Center in Communicator 4.7x, hit Command + Option + 1.
To quickly access the History in a popup window, press Command + H.
Hit Space to scroll down the current Web page in Communicator or Explorer.
To list images stored in your cache, type in about:image-cache in the location/address box.
To navigate visited pages with the keyboard, use Command + Left Arrow to go Back and Command + Right Arrow to go Forward.
Once a message is selected or opened, to cycle to the next unread message, hit Command + Shift + the Down Arrow. For a quick search in Netscape Communicator, type in your search key words in the Location box and hit return. For example, type in Macintosh OS in the Location box and hit return.
Ever visit a site, forget to bookmark it, and can't remember the URL? There may be a way to retrieve the URL. In Netscape Communicator, type in about:global in the location/address box and you just might find your site!
Hit Shift + Space to scroll up (back) the current Web page in Communicator.
To quickly find a stock quote in Navigator, type in quote company symbol in the location/address box. For example, quote aapl. Remember to use a space between the word quote and the company symbol.
Hold down Option when double clicking on a bookmark in the bookmark window to open its properties.
Hold down the Option key when clicking on a link to load the page to disk rather than to the browser window. To stop web animations in Netscape, press Command + Period after the page has loaded.
Need to import mail messages and/or address books into an installed version of Communicator? Hit Command + 6 to access the import functions.
To quickly search messages in Communicator, hit Command + Shift + F.
To quickly switch between online and offline modes, click on the "blue plug" in the lower left corner of a browser window.
To quickly add a bookmark in Communicator, double click on the green and yellow icon between the word "Location" and the specific URL in the window.
Need to find out when you first added a bookmark or if you have aliases to it? First open the bookmark window by hitting Command + B. Single click on an entry and hit Command + I for the information for that specific bookmark.
Ever save a Web page as text with the Save As command and then forget the site from which the page was saved? To find the URL, single click on the saved file to select it and hit Command + I to see the URL in the Comments box.
Hit Command + Home to go to your home page.
To empty the Netscape cache, first select menu item: Edit > Preferences. Scroll down and select Advanced > Cache on the left. Click the "Clear Disk Cache Now" button on the right. Finally, click OK successively to exit.
Drag an entry in the personal toolbar to the Trash on your Mac Desktop to delete it from the toolbar.
To quickly launch AOL Instant Messenger from within Communicator, hit Command + 5.
To display the full character properties for highlighted text in a Composer window, hit Command + I.
To open a new blank page while in Composer, hit Command + Shift + N.
To mark a read message as unread, highlight the message and hit Command + \
To mark a series of messages read based on a date, first hit Command + 2 to open the Messenger window. Select menu item: Message > Mark > by Date and enter your preferred date.
To remove styles (color, size, etc.) from highlighted text in a message composition window, hit Command + Shift + K.
To control what information other users can see about you: Select menu item: Edit > Preferences. Select Controls on the left and select your preferred settings under "Allow others to see..." and "Allow users who know my email address to find out..."
To disable the "ever present" AIM utility menu in the menu bar: While in the AIM application, select menu item: Edit > Preferences. Make sure General is selected on the left and make sure that "Show utility menu in the menu bar at all times" is not selected on the right.
To find a specific term, site, etc. within the bookmarks window, hit Command + B to open the Bookmarks window and select menu item: Edit > Find in Bookmarks.
To quickly see information about the plug-ins you have installed in Communicator, select menu item: Help > About Plug-ins.
Select menu item: Help > Reference Library for comprehensive information about Communicator.
While in Communicator, select menu item: Help > Security to access information about Netscape security updates.
To make highlighted text bold, hit Command + Shift + B, hit Command + Shift + I for italics and Command + Shift + U to underline.
To disable pinpoint addressing (autocomplete) while in a message composition window, hit Command + D.
